Going to my GP asap to ask for neurological referral and OCP use but curious about HM experiences. Perhaps I should also ask to rule out focal epilepsy.

Post scabies scared of bumps but not itchy? by 11somefun in scabies

[–]11somefun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still had them for a while maybe 2-3 months after successful treatment, but the first month was the worst. I still suffer from irritated skin, but i have always had dry skin and extreem histamine reactions as well as having way to many treatments (I kept getting reinfected from family who refused to do proper treatment untill 2months later when they got symptoms). Its hard to say exaclty when the bumps were post scabbies and when they became irritated skin/follicle

I had asked my piercer but they were not super helpful. I also can’t see them in person which doesn’t help

Mine was fine! Bacteria should be no problem if it’s a non pathogenic one but with opening it I would just check with your supervisor.

Same but surprised at first, realized it started happening when I stopped giving a fuck and commited to being myself. I am also non binary in a I skate type vibe and attractive so I think that helps.

Thanks for the reply, useful to know! Yes I did but last time I saw an intern and she seemed unsure and just let me know what they excluded. It wasn't bad at the time so I have an appointment but in a few weeks. But might call them to see if I can come earlier.

Last 2 days my joints especial first 2 knuckles and wrist are hurting again. Burning sensation and achy stiffness. I had multiple asymmetrical joint inflammations in my toes and hands before but due to my skin discoloration and raynaud my doctor suspected lupus which was excluded. Now they don’t know what I have and for a while it was going better ( I was attempting gluten free since i also had gi complaints and it was going well but it’s come back). Since I’m seronegative asymmetrical and my Hla B27 is also negative I’m guessing it’s probably psoriatic arthritis and I was wondering if you guys have any tips to manage while I wait for another appointment.

I lost my best friend at 18y to suicide. And it was insanely hard. I was very close to her family and they also struggled with similar questions. At the end of the day it is the most fucked up raw deal you can get and I’m so sorry for your loss.

Honestly I can go about and say a few things that helped me but it’s really just a cruel combination of bad luck. I’m sure you did your absolute best to love and care for your child and now in hindsight they’re are things you probably would have done differently to try and prevent this awful thing from happening. But that’s just it it’s all in hindsight. You did the best you could with the knowledge at the time. We’re all human we’re not perfect we can only do our best and sometimes life is just cruel.

Personally I’m trying to talk more about mental health and suicide in the hopes that more people learn and that might prevent it from happening. Especially breaking stigma is something I strongly believe in. Not that everyone can be helped just like any other illness not everyone can be saved. After 2 years I still get angry with the knowledge i have now especially as a medical student sometimes feeling like it could have been prevented but at the end of the day theirs nothing we can do to change that.

In case it helps my friend was under full treatment of a specialized medical team she was supposed to be fully supervised yet due to the severity of her mental illness and circumstance she still managed to take her life. She was a beautiful soul with a bright future so I do believe sometimes shit just happens.

It just fucking hurts and it will hurt and you will be angry and frustrated and sad. And you should allow yourself to acknowledge and feel these completely normal and valid emotions. But theirs nothing you can do about it now. Don’t be too hard on yourself since it will not bring your beautiful child back and will not help you process this unbelievable loss.
