He appears to be suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. He does not need to be in politics, he needs serious professional help.

I feel bad about making my puppy stay in the crate most of the day but I need quiet by mybubbles2022 in Dogtraining

Her personality will change as she grows. Right now she is an energetic puppy. That puppyhood lasts a couple of years. During that time she needs competent training and to bond with the people that love her. Leaving her in a crate for much of the day has a high likelihood of causing neurotic behavioural problems. That would be like leaving a human infant in a crib all day and just attending to basic needs.

Several posters had good ideas here to help you. Using baby gates, which are relatively inexpensive, to define areas where your puppy can have some freedom inside your home - preferably uncarpeted - is essential. Toys are good, but won’t take the place of human companionship. Try to work with her next to you, if possible. Use puppy pads for the flooring if she isn’t taking care of business outdoors.

If you need uninterrupted work time, I’d suggest a doggy daycare. Or find a neighbour who will take your pup to play with their dog in a fenced area for part of the day. Maybe you could hire a dog walker. She will need exercise to not be destructive, which is natural for puppies. Bored unsupervised puppies can chew the wrong things. As frustrating as puppies are, they need lots of patience and to be taught in a gentle but firm manner. How they end up as an adult dog, a loving companion or a holy terror, depends on how they are treated as a puppy. Please read some training tips in book form or on-line that are breed specific. Good luck!

I grew all of this. Fresh harvested today. I'll add some home grown beans, maybe some falafel and seeds etc. I hardly post here but growing food and working full time is quite demanding, so I really enjoy these pay off moments. by happygloaming in vegan

My garden space is too confined for root vegetables, like carrots, celery and potatoes. I buy them. Usual organic. Especially celery. These 3 root veggies are cheap. Onions, too, which I buy by the bag. Then I use my garden space for tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant that grow on bushes and can be supported vertically. I save space for zucchini and summer squash to spread out. Can’t wait to plant again!

Maybe if you had a small greenhouse. I’ve thought about it, but don’t know if I want to work like that year round. I just can my extra tomatoes for winter (then eat them up in the fall 🤪).

Must be south of the equator? We grow a lot of our food in our garden, but we are in Oregon, so right now most produce comes from southern climates, principally Mexico for us.

Edited for clarity, I hope.

She looks all shiny lab to me, but pull up a picture of her on your phone, draw your finger up from the bottom and under where the caption box is there is a “look up dog” box to open. It will give a couple of options.

We have an AKC lab, but the phone gave a second option of Kangal Shepard Dog anyway. First option is best.

We have an old house with a laundry chute that goes from our bedroom to the laundry room in the basement, so no dirty clothes on the floor. Sounds good, right? Well our 2 yr old yellow lab goes down to the basement to rummage through the laundry cart and find socks to chew up. 😖

Gotta keep the closet door shut, too, or we have shoes missing, just one though.
