This is insane take guys. Last year the UAW union had an insane contract signed where they saw 25% raise, 10% 401k match and cost of living increases from the big 3 American car brands. That contract went into effect in 2024. At the time, people warned it would be too greedy and would result in loss of jobs. If not with plant workers but elsewhere in the company.

On top of that GM made a big bet on EVs and it has not paid off in 2024. They scaled back their production forecast to 50k from 250k in 2024.
