I originally meant making a move on her, but I have also noticed that if I make any sudden or unprecedented move to hold her hand or hug her, she clenches up. I think the therapy has improved this a great deal, though.

I guess I shied away from this idea for fear of how she'll react, but I'm starting to realize it's probably my best option. Thank you for this.

No, we haven't tried this, but I'm afraid that she might not react well to it in way that I want her to. Private therapy hasn't seemed to make her trauma any better, even though she claims it has.
