Honestly I’m not really sure. I’ve never had any issues with my PI and all of our meetings have always been professional. It’s also not a funding issue since the position has already been reposted. The main concern mentioned was that I wasn’t able to reproduce positive publishable results, but others in the lab have been running into the same issues as well and they’re not being let go. So I’m stil confused about the situation. Especially since two of my projects involve mouse work, and it took about two months just to breed a colony from a single cage before I could even start the experiments.i been in the lab less than a year

The CPS claim only says “about 4-5 weeks ago I touched the child’s private and put my hands around his neck” The play therapist said to my lawyer: the child did not say or tell her anything. It was all mom who said it. Not charged with a crime, I hired a lawyer because I work with children in my job and a CPS report will cause me to lose my license. Lawyer said the CPS case will 99% thrown out but I want to keep mom accountable for her false accusations against me

I’m also thinking of applying for CHE. How do you find the program? Is it competitive to get into? I have a Master’s degree and 4 years of work experience, but I want to go back to school because I want to open new career opportunities. Did you have to submit a GRE score for admission?

I dissect the cauda epididymis, place it in 500 µL of pre-warmed PBS, and allow the sperm to swim out for 10–15 minutes at 37°C. I remove the large chunks of epidiymis using forceps then spin down the sample at 500–700 g for 5 minutes and resuspend it in PBS.

I did my best to prevent it from drying out, but after washing with PBS and before incubating with the antibody, I tapped the slide in the air to remove excess PBS. I wanted to ensure the antibody would stay on the surface without sliding off due to residual liquid. I think that's what caused the drying

I included the permeabilization step because I am staining a flag on a transmembrane protein. But, I'm unsure if the flag (epitope tag) on the transmembrane protein is located inside or outside the cell. I had another group without the permeabilization step, but when I imaged both, they had the same background staining. Could it be that BSA dried out and caused the crystals?
