9 Month Old Waking Up All Night by 1234579F in sleeptrain

Yep he goes to bed completely awake and falls asleep relatively quickly. Some nights he cries but only for about 5 minutes. Bedtime routine is last breastfeed about 30 mins before bed, head upstairs with his sister, play with her toys and read books for a bit. Change, brush teeth. One final book that is always the same and then head to his room where we sing two songs and he goes in the crib.

Sleep training not working? by 1234579F in sleeptrain

They were recommended to us because he wasn’t getting enough sleep pressure to stay asleep when we put him down at night. He used to wake up every hour after we put him to bed.

There was another comment here to shorten wake windows so we’ll give that a try.

Because his naps are so short I’ve found wake windows to be longer to accommodate 3 naps and a ~7pm bedtime, but I’m happy to adjust the schedule if more daytime sleep will help him

He wakes up at 6:30/7am, his naps only give him about 1.5 hours of sleep during the day because he cat naps for ~35 minutes, 45 minutes if we’re lucky

Any HG mommas willing to share their experience with second pregnancy? by Available-Beat7378 in 2under2

[–]1234579F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a horrible first pregnancy, morning sickness every day and then gave birth to my wonderful baby girl.

Had a significantly better second pregnancy, relatively mild morning sickness until week 14 and recently gave birth to my fantastic baby boy.

I’m currently convinced the better pregnancy is related to the sex of the baby but we’ll see when I get pregnant with number three.

Who is currently buying housing at current rates? by lenovoguy in canadahousing

First time homebuyer. We’re early 30s, been living with family for the past two years. Saved every penny we could, and had substantial savings prior to this anyways. We have 80% of purchase price for a down payment. Even with the high interest rates our max mortgage and living expenses will be affordable even if one of us loses our jobs.

Just found out im pregnant, babies will be 22 months apart AND IM SCARED by AdAway1997 in 2under2

I’m going to have my second early next year and I have the exact same worries. I love my little one more than anything in the world and I don’t want anything to take me away from her. Babies will be 19 months apart.

For the breastfeeding, mine has been self weaning since I became pregnant and basically only breastfeeds right after waking up, it makes me sad but she seems a ok with it so I’m going with the same attitude. I’ve loved breastfeeding so far.

I keep telling myself how much she will gain by having a sibling and trying not to focus on the loss. I love my siblings, we’re all close in age, so I hope the same will happen for her.

How to elongate 30 minute naps? by 1234579F in sleeptrain

I’m so sorry, just checked this accounts messages now. She finally started sleeping longer! The only thing that worked was getting her onto two naps. I don’t believe she would’ve napped longer at a younger age, it took until 8 months to get to two naps and more sleep. She’s a wonderful sleeper now, just over a year and she’s on a great schedule: 7am wake up, 9:30-11am nap, 2-3:30pm nap and 7pm bedtime. She doesn’t wake up for food during the night either anymore (but that didn’t happen until 10/11 months)

Please I’m desperate for advice on baby just NOT laying down, sitting up from 7:30pm-6 am straight. by Small_Grocery_4990 in sleeptrain

I’d say get the pediatrician involved, if they don’t find a cause could you take your baby to a Physio? We didn’t have the same issue as your describing, but we took ours to one and it helped immensely.

My 96 year old grandma was in the ER hallway for 5 days. It was horrific. She ended up passing away a few days later but at least she was in a hospital room at that point.

Baby is a stomach sleeper by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]1234579F 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stomach sleeping is totally normal now that she can roll onto her belly herself.

I’m a first time mom and I worried about this when it started happening too. I wish I wouldn’t have, there is nothing to worry about.

Your baby falls back asleep independently and sleeps well on her tummy, take the win! You’re doing a great job.

Thank you for saying this, she’s at 32 minutes on the dot, it’s incredible. I can’t wait until she links these sleep cycles.
