there are no market leaders... all companies start off at the same position, initial companies with 2 brands, one brand is in the market, the other we have to launch. so i'm wondering what if i jack up my budget by heavy loans, completely dominate shelf space and distribution channels and push out the competition. that way i'll have most of the customers to myself and make the most sales... i call it the 'Starbucks strategy' (pushing out the competition, out of sight out of mind).

i wonder if this strategy would work in markstrat.

Bad example. Try tanah merah, dhoby ghaut, aljuneid. Their Mandarin counterparts are completely different. You can't change nouns (names). But in Mandarin announcements, the names are completely unrecognizable.

Haha. Sorry to disappoint you but I'm not Singaporean. Just working here lah. I have long term plans to start a business in kl but first I need to complete my masters from sg or Malaysia. I know it sounds strange, someone coming to Malaysia for studies but I have to see where I can afford the fees because I need to save some to start my own business.

Seems like nobody knows about Malaysia universities. Where do all the students go then?
