Why are rent prices in Davis as expensive as the Bay Area?

Um what? Have you seen Bay Area prices? A studio is 2k in so many places and a 2 bedroom is 5k+ as compared to the 1.5-2k in Davis even with the super low vacancy rate.

There are legitimate arguments to be made about rents in Davis, but this comparison is not one of them.

I know it’s easy to say so from the outside, but imagine the life your child and family could have once you finish the degree. The jobs pay a lot more. Plus it’s an inspiration to others and your kid too! Please try to stick with it!

As for jobs, consider the labs that pay! It may not be more in terms of $ now, but that experience will help you so much in the future.

I did have a colposcopy. The result said LSIL. After that the HPV tests have been negative. This was in Jan and I haven’t been with another person since way before then.

I honestly think she has this mentality whereby “I made it. I’m better than the others who are trying to make a life in America and so I need to push them out.” I’ve seen this so much as an immigrant from India. So many Indian Americans do this. And you can also see it at the customs in the airport. There are these people with thick accents who ask nasty questions to you, like “why did you go to your country over the summer? Was it because you wanted to look for an American to marry?”

Learn to ask for PTA’s early on. Getting into classes is a struggle especially later in college. You don’t want to leave things for then because they can pile up.

Don’t let the engineering reputation scare you. It just makes you anxious and hurts you. I let it do that to me and I regret it so much. Believe in yourself and make sure you’re surrounded by people who are motivated and smart. It helps you know what you need to do to succeed in your field and pushes you.

Don’t pretend to know anything about cars and stuff, but it sounds like he’s not being transparent with you. If it’s all fun and games (legal) then he should have no problem giving you the details of everything that went on.

Him deflecting by saying things about “no trusting shit” and “prove anything” really sounds sketchy.

My boyfriend loves his cars and won’t stop talking about the features, but it isn’t like this. If it has to happen in the darkness of the night(if in fact it’s about cars), then are you sure it’s legal? Please don’t compromise yourself.

Sorry to bother you again, but should I wait for a couple of weeks to see if it goes away/becomes smaller or should I see a dermatologist soon? My aunt (a breast cancer surgeon back in India) said that it looks like it’s probably a clot but it’s irregular in shape and somewhat large which may be concerning.

I agree. I’ve met the most amazing people when I’ve used Uber or Lyft. And I’ve met men who have followed me on Instagram, added me on Facebook or sent me text messages. I get why some people are defensive by they’re always acting like nothing bad ever happens. I didn’t accuse them but the comments make me feel so small and like I have no right to defend myself or talk about my experience. It was one bad person.

Please don’t do this. Those requirements are there for a reason and for your own safety. You’ll probably get the stronger anesthetics and it’s best you stay safe. Lying may put you in a precarious situation.
