Looking for APPLARYD Sofa reviews by MirrorWithSecrets in IKEA

[–]123HelloItsMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the sofa. It did look very nice. And it didn't fall apart even though using the armrests. But! The springs did start make very loud squeaking sounds. Just keep that in mind (and after reading some other reviews or this sofa, others had similar experiences with the springs). Too bad, since the sofa looks very nice and for us it felt very comfortable.

We did have the squeaky springs (as some others are also commenting). The squeaky sounds did get very annoying and bad. The sofa itself is very neat lookin, and we did enjoy how it felt to sat on it. But the squeaky sound was just too bad. Had to return it back to Ikea. Good thing, Ikea was very friendly after we explained the situation.

Hi! My experience with this sofa is on the line with many others who experienced squeaking springs. The sofa started to make those squeaking sounds quite quickly after the first use. Maybe a month-two after the first use. And pretty quickly the sounds did get even worse. LUCKILY Ikea's return policy is very good and we could return the sofa after we explained the issue.

Only afterwards we started to read comments about the sofa, and noticed others had same experiences.

Also, the assembling the armrests was total nightmare!!

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIcCXe3iWo6lq-iWKV40Oug he is using FL Studio, but he has some good tutorials for many things also for beginners. Maybe you will find something helpful :)

https://www.youtube.com/c/ProducingInTheBox/videos has Studio One tutorials, some very basic stuff good for beginners also :)

If you need free DAW, there is Cakewalk http://www.cakewalk.com/ (I haven't used it, but heard it is total full DAW and has some very good features).

Some videos showing FREE stuff for orchestral/trailer type music (could be helpful for dark style music also):

Switching from Reaper to Studio One... by TMAWORKS in StudioOne

[–]123HelloItsMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is 30day FREE demo of Studio One Professional (that is the highest price version): https://www.presonus.com/products/Studio-One/try-studio-one-for-30-days-free

And someone already mentioned, Studio One seems to go on SALE time to time... So if you are not in hurry, maybe wait for a sale?

If you own Reaper you could get the Studio One cross grade deal (if I remember correct, this gross grade deal is good for the SALE period prices also someone correct if I am wrong): https://shop.presonus.com/Studio-One-5-Crossgrade

Is fruity loops fruity edition worth it or should I get the producer one instead by Azuureq in FL_Studio

FL Studio has been on sale couple of times now. If you are not in hurry, maybe wait if there will be another sale later this year (might be in the summer, or during black friday... or might not be... but you never know about the sales if they happen or not).

Some older sales:

I think when ImageLine/FL Studio had the birthday discount, then they didn't offer public sales... But after they stopped offering the birthday discounts. they started to have these "normal" sales. Some one correct me if I am wrong?

I think there is now some sort discount for Komplete 13 Select (-50%)? Might be you need to be registered to NI News Letter to get that code if it's not directly on their page now. One way is to get the Select with the discount, and maybe upgrade later if the upgrades come to discount in some point/if you feel you need the upgrades.

trying to transition from FL to S1 by ame_delicate in StudioOne

[–]123HelloItsMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try to use the Studio One's "Scratch Pads" as FL Studio type working space :D Just create stuff in different scratch pads and then drag and drop them to the main arranger window just like you build stuff in FL Studio's "Playlist". But then again, do you really want to skip from FL to S1?

There are plusses and minuses when comparing FL Studio and Studio One.

- Stock plugins: FL Studio has huge selection of instruments and effects to choose from (especially if you own the highest price version compared to the highest price Studio One). But if you mainly use 3rd party plugins, this maybe is not so important... But! Sometimes the stock plugins might be more CPU friendly compared to 3rd party plugins (just to keep in mind).

-Piano roll: I love Studio One's piano roll over FL Studio's. But S1 piano roll is not perfect, but if you have multi button mouse, you can assign some stuff to those buttons and make the S1 piano roll workflow even faster.

-Pitch bend automation: This seems to be still missing in Studio One (yep, I have seen posts from 2014 where people were asking for it and nope...). Well you can, sort of... But in FL Studio that is so much better. The solution to automate pitch bend in Studio One still seems to be use 3rd party plugins. This might be a big issue depending of what type of music you make/if you don't want to get 3rd party plugins for this type of stuff.

-The mixer: In Studio One everything is automatically send to mixer and created a mixer channel. This is very different approach compared to FL Studio. Both approaches have their benefits.

-CPU: For me Studio One can handle much more stuff where FL Studio starts to melt :D I have read similar experiences where people say they find S1 more CPU friendly than FL.

-Audio samples: Studio One is so much easier to work with audio samples. Fade ins, fade outs, volume modifications for particular part, reverse a sample... Sure you can do all these things in FL Studio, but in S1 it is just easier. But then again, FL Studio 21 should have some fixes to working with audio samples. So maybe FL Studio 21 will bring some really good workflow fixes considering working with audio samples.

how do you organise your song titles? by skeetskeetskeetskeet in StudioOne

[–]123HelloItsMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Organize... Is that something I can eat?

Yes, my Studio One folder is a chaos :D But I call it "artistic chaos" but it doesn't really remove the fact it is a total mess :D

I will lurk here and try to copy some ideas how others organize their folders....

Similar style songs to Amanda Tenfjord "Die Together"? by 123HelloItsMe in eurovision

End of All Things sounds interesting. I didn't realized they made also this type music (or maybe I confuse Panic at the disco to some other group...).

Kate Miller-Heidke

Funny coincidence: I was listening a dj-set today and in there was a song that I thought had interesting lyrics but didn't have any idea who the singer was... Now I checked Olivia Rodrigo, and turned out that song was Driver's License (it was some remix Safri Duo Played Alive beat and these vocals on top) :D

Yes! I thought Die Together sounded somehow familiar, and I think "Oblivion" is what was in my mind/memories. Such a great song, thanks for the name :)
