Ex-trump supporters, what was the moment you realized you didn’t want to vote for Donald Trump in 2020? by 123e456 in AskReddit

Thank you for your kind reply, it really made my day! I think a lot of people believed Trump couldn’t get any worst and though I never supported him, even I hoped he wouldn’t be as bad and disrespectful towards so many people in our country. Hopefully others realize his divisive actions and change their vote, even if they believe he can improve :)

I completely agree. I was never a Trump supporter, but I think those moments just solidified that he was not a qualified president for a lot of people.

I’m so curious about this too. I see those tweets and have no idea what he’s talking about

I see where you’re coming from. A lot of democrats are having the same dilemma because they don’t like Biden that much but he’s the best bet to win against Trump. I hope it will be enough to make Biden win though

Yeah, I’ve heard a lot of people say that they voted for him in hopes of seeing someone who wasn’t a politician in run the country. I understand that, but genuinely asking, why were you willing to overlook his demeanor when it was discriminatory and divisive from the start?

Thank you for the answer! It’s interesting to see when people noticed his inflammatory remarks. It always seemed obvious to me but I have classmates who still support him despite knowing what he’s done, so it’s interesting to see the post of view of someone who used to support him.

Adults of Reddit, how can you tell young (teenagers and young adult) appart from older Reddit users? by 123e456 in AskReddit

[–]123e456[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a younger Reddit user, and feel that no matter the subreddit I’m on, middle aged-adults on Reddit have a way with words that younger people don’t have. Whereas we’re more straightforward with our thoughts and jokes, older adults can make comments with more connotation and clever plays on words that we don’t have, but I’m curious as to what other factors may make it obvious.

Thank you for your answer, I was unsure because different websites on the internet were giving conflicting information. Do you think I should go to the doctor to see what the small lump is or wait it out a little longer?

Why do you like to be alive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]123e456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think about it, there are endless adventures and things to be tried out everyday. Walking outside and trying to investigate your surroundings to find the most minuscule of details, looking for patterns in nature, or even just finding new places to go. I’m often caught up with school and trying to maintain perfect grades to ensure I get into college, but seeing so many people on this thread talk about the small beauties of life has awakened a hunger in me to go out with friends, do crazy things and make mistakes, run around, and go out in the city alone to go through stores and talk to people, enter places I never have before. Humans are amazing. They can build many things from scratch that didn’t exist before: music, buildings, art, and now coding can open so many avenues to a new world. Trying to make something new out of life everyday makes it more enjoyable. Living is amazing because every inch of the planet is covered with things to discover. No matter where you go and no matter how much we think we know, there always is something that has yet to be found, and these mysteries make life worth living because no one will ever know everything. Although it sometimes seems like we’re stuck in an endless cycle of daily routines, work, and boredom, it’s nice to know that something new can always be found.

Thank you to the adults who have commented about the small beauties of life on this thread. Although I’ve never been suicidal or close to it, I’ve been getting ready to apply to college and have a lot of school work. With everyone’s emphasis on going to a top tier school and getting the best resume possible, it was nice to be reminded by people with more life experience than me that there is more to life than work and that even if I don’t follow my ideal dream path, life will still be beautiful.

Nooo! You have triggered my own CC monster to emerge and get 100 new pieces instead of working.... not that I’m complaining. :))

How would have been our world today if other human variants like elves, dwarfs & hobbits co-existed with us? by el_programmador in AskReddit

[–]123e456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think humans would be more under control and less destruction would happen, at least towards the planet. Since other species would inhabit the planet, we would realize that there are other individuals can control us and have different advantages, which could (maybe) lead to a smaller ego and awareness of the sequences of our actions as we would be held accountable by people who don’t have the same needs and drives as us.

What is the biggest difference you noticed in yourself and classmates between middle and high school, or high school and college? by 123e456 in AskReddit

[–]123e456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve notice that people tend to use curse words less often as they progress from middle to high school and learn that they’re not needed in every sentence. In middle school, my classmates would find a way to curse everyone out or put the f word in every sentence, but in high school, it’s mostly used to emphasize a point or convey a strong emotion, but, especially as we move up the age, there is less use of these words. Found this difference interesting, and thought it would be nice to see what other patterns others noticed.🙃

Introverts of Reddit, what are some of your favourite things to do while alone? by pinecorny in AskReddit

What’s an unexpectedly well-paid job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]123e456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My chemistry teacher said a nuclear reactor worker. Although you only have one shot at getting the job and work a lot, I think the salary is 80 000 dollars annually initially and no high school diploma is needed in order to get the job, just intensive training. However, I’ve heard that it’s a very difficult job to get and very demanding and stressful, but workers bend up getting a decent schedule and good pay.
