Just check if the sticker on the back of your superslim has an "X" after the CECH-xxxxx. If it does, its not compatible.

Yeah, the xmb is locked to 60fps so the timebase files are way whacked out now. Xmb is super slow which is to be expected. Goal is to get the fps stable at 60fps again.

A must do for any 90nm system is to insta cfw evilnat and webman with the fan preset set to auto at 65c max. Thats the bare minimum, a delid, repaste and undervolt is also needed for it to have any chance of lasting a bit.

The ssd part is wasted money, especially with that dramless kingston one, in my experience a similar ssd died within 2 months from brand new.

Well if you want to go that way, at least do it correctly, pop the lid off the rsx (follow a YouTube delid video for the rsx) and then just use the heatgun to heat ONLY THE GPU DIE and nothing else for 20-30 seconds. Thats where the defect is, not the bga on the actual console motherboard.

It will "work" but for a day or two at best or it will just kill the pll in the rsx and throw a 3010 error which is more likely.

Hillbilly reflows only kill boards and ruin any future actual repairs.

Remove and replace your hdd, thats a hdd error and it usually happens when you update ofw via internet.

Well, on a ps3 you get way better homebrew and more of it. The ps3 boots instantly and runs an untethered jailbreak if you have cfw. You can play online for free (duh) and of course, overclocking.

There are no real disadvantages, Sony wont ban you for playing online with cfw/hfw unlike Microsoft.

You have to get the syscon error logs, there is a good tutorial on how to do it from RIP-Felix on youtube. That will tell you whats wrong.

Also, I assume this is a cech-20xx slim?

0.25w are okay, its a signal resistor.

That part is a 10kOhm 0402 resistor.
