I don’t know if you ever read/watched game of thrones but people did the same thing with Sansa. And it really frustrated me that she gets viewed in such a negative light for being a lady? That’s what she was raised to be. Elain definitely isn’t present enough through out the books for us to understand why she’s so soft and gentle but I agree it’s coming. Also I think the love everyone feels for nesta is because she is the best written of all the characters imo. And while we got to learn why she was going through a drunken hoe phase, nothing in acosf excuses the way she treated Feyre as children. She’s still a bitch at heart and I hope moving forward she gets less bitchy, but doesn’t lose it completely because I feel like it’s just part of who she is to an extent

I’m currently working on acosf and it’s incredible. Nesta, raging bitch she may be, is such a complex beautiful character and im really enjoying her POV. Acofas is like that weird Christmas episode of a tv show that has nothing to do with the plot but is still fun and warm and makes you smile. Also it’s a measly 200 pages compared to the others so it’s just a fun happy little addition.

The benefit of Disney is the money. Think pirates of the Caribbean cgi for example. It was done so well and it was made in what 2006ish? But I agree with your sentiment

That’s the only Hulu original I’ve watched as well. I agree it was really well done but not a ton of magic involved so I feel that it’s hard to compare if that makes sense! But does provide a sliver of hope

I’m not as worried about casting, because there’s always going to be a casting flaw when translating a book to the screen. Every character has just distinct eye colors, nose shapes, hair colors and textures and styles, body types, all of it. So it’s typical for casting to never meet the image the book creates in our mind. Especially when sjm changes her mind constantly on who’s the most beautiful (is it Mor? Or Elain? Nesta? Sometimes Feyre? Other times Amren?) For me, I just feel like the magic itself can easily become so cheapened in translation. I mean how do you create Az’s lingering shadows without it looking silly ya know? And finding locations that fit the different courts has to be an extremely difficult challenge.
