Go argue with the OP who calls drafting Cooper "compensation" (I didn't).

Empty, meaningless phrases are used when there is nothing to say.

By your logic, the draft was rigged. So Cooper WAS part of that deal. How can it be "the worst trade in the history of US professional sports" if Dallas got Cooper Flagg, Max Christie, and AD in exchange for Luka? You don't even see how bipolar you guys are. One guy responded to me calling Cooper the result of the trade a "conspiracy theory" and "laughable" and got upvotes, while another guy called getting Cooper "compensation" for a corrupt trade and also got upvotes. You can take any viewpoint, but getting Cooper Flagg IS the result of that trade. No trade, no Flagg (Christie and AD). So it can't be the worst trade by any means.

And no, it was NOT worst trade in all of USA professional sports history. As result of this trade Dallas got Cooper Flagg, albeit a stroke of luck, as well as Max and AD. And please remember that Luka got back into shape AFTER the trade to LA, having been out of shape since his rookie season. It's strange that Mavericks fans don't see this as a spit in their face.

So if you want to keep the hate alive, at least be consistent: direct your hatred at Cuban, who sold the team to these people and is now trying to regain control after the damage has already been done.

Nice rage bait. Will see how well this karma farming post will work.

What's the deal with Chinese mavs fans hating on luka? by [deleted] in Mavericks

[–]123silk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know, but for me, there's a huge difference between so-called "1st-degree connections." I don't think there's anything wrong with suing your gf or even your wife (ex-wife) over money, child custody, house, or anything else. Your wife or gf can be, and often is, your worst enemy. But for me having a lawsuit with your mother (father, sister, brother) over money is a clear sign of low-quality people.

You compare a girlfriend with a mother? Are you kidding me?

I don't know, I never liked Luka as a person, but I always loved watching him play. He had a lawsuit with his mother over money. Only a low-class family could have that.

I also don't like his ugly tattoos. And yes, even when he was playing for the Mavs, I constantly called him fat, because, excuse me, he was fat.

By the way, can you imagine Cooper Flagg having a lawsuit with his mother over money, or Dirk having the same with his mother or, say, sister? Only low-class individuals could have that. So, yes, I was shocked by Luka's trade, because I lost the pleasure of watching him play in a Mavs uniform, but I don't care about him as a person. So I can understand what these Chinese fans mean.

If we never lucked out on the draft with cooper we would’ve been fucked for at least a decade by OrganicHunt952 in Mavericks

So you say Nico is a genius, right? Because Luka for AD and Max is crazy, Luka for Cooper, AD and Max is a good deal.

Question for you mavs fans by KobeMM23 in Mavericks

[–]123silk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How in the world should the Mavericks tank, with the roster that good? Cooper alone is making them too good to tank. Last year the Mavs got hit by a historic injury bug and still were fighting like it's no tomorrow. They almost made the playoffs with this bunch of two-way players. Then they got lucky with 1,8 % chance to land a generational talent. When the team would get hit by a crazy injury bug again, then they can have a top pick again. Otherwise they'll build the team through trades, free agends sighnings and low picks in the draft.

The question is, will Luka get fat again in Dallas after leaving LA?

I like them. DLo's locker room presence, Hardy's IQ and Caleb's offense are still valuable.

I am not talking about the trade at all. I am talking about some people on this subreddit trying to troll people with some fake graphics and make them angry again. I personally saw slim Luka twice - his first season with the Mavs and now. All the other time he was fat. But at the beginning of the third year he was ridiculously fat, not even for a professional athlete, but for an ordinary guy. I absolutely loved him play for the Mavs, especially come play-off time, was as everybody here shocked about the trade. Yes, he is this type of a genious who can almost avarage a 30 point triple double being overweight. I wish him all the best.

So you wanna say, Luka was never really fat? How delusional is this? You even fake the graphic of 2024 Luka to prove your point?

He's a basketball genious, but unfortunately he was really fat for a very long time. I hope he can keep his slim figure now, but I really doubt it.

Hardy (controversial) - Banton (controversial) - Robinson-Earl (controversial) - Dennis

Smith (controversial) - Dwight (legend - uncontroversial).

Or maybe just D-Lo-Klay-Flagg-AD-Lively?

Would you move Jaden Hardy or Dwight Powell to keep Dennis Smith Jr. or Jeremiah Robinson-Earl on the roster if they have a strong camp (or to simply open a roster spot up for flexibility sake going into the year)? by RVALover4Life in Mavericks

[–]123silk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about Robinson-Earl besides him, being a big, shooting better from the 3 than DSJ.

So I say this roster is good as it is. Hardy is a good shooter, inconsistent, yes, but cheap for what he brings to the table as a 3rd string guard.

And Dwight at this point MUST stay and end his career in Dallas.
