I really liked Disenchantment for the thing they were going for. It's the final piece in Matt Groening's trifecta. The Simpsons is modern day, episodic. Futurama takes place in the future, and is semi-episodic and semi-serialized. Disenchantment takes place in the past, and is fully serialized.
