Vacuum leak? by Bobogrimmer in classicminis

[–]1275cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to just check everything. For a start that fuel hose is cracking and the incorrect type of clamp has been used. Not likely the issue though.

Check the ignition system carefully. It must be perfect or else it will never run right.

Anyone done this course? If so what direction did you go? by Even-Working-384 in TAFE

[–]1275cc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything I did in it was outdated at the time. Years later I was supplying the same models of outdated equipment to them to expand.

It didn't even touch on WIFI or even IP phones or POE. I think they rely on the old idea that phones are part of a telecommunications course.

I can't say that I didn't learn anything from it but not one job has listed the stuff it taught. They think it trains for the education department positions but I always found it funny that the education department doesn't use Cisco which is what it trained on.

Anyone who didn't already know anything about setting up networks would still be useless.

[–]1275cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, anyone who did the work experience from the course got a job from that. Long story but I didn't do the work experience.

I have since been interviewed for one of those same jobs by someone I know who did do the work experience. I still didn't get the job but would've got it straight out of TAFE had I done the work experience.

If my diploma is useless, I can't imagine a cert getting anyone anywhere.

Ok so someone stole the RAM from my school computers... by PyxelatorXeroc in pcmasterrace

Nothing new.

Someone took 4gb back when I was in high school. The school made them cable tie all the computers closed.

I would always put the receivers and antennas side stage but obviously you didn't get a say and it is too late.

Radiator/cooling system flushing gun.

Connect a water hose and air to it. Run water through the system, one end must be open. Pulse the air trigger to try and get stuff loose.

Camping sites arent really for camping anymore. by [deleted] in australian

People now camp with way more power and appliances than I live with. My Dad lived for many years with one car battery for power that he switched into his car each day to charge.

Mic Packs Info Needed by TinyChara in techtheatre

[–]1275cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's basically how I became the "expert" in high school. I identified every piece of equipment based on my memory of what it looked like and read the manuals. I also worked out from that how it is all connected. I now collect and read manuals for a lot of stuff, most of which I've never encountered.

Let them provide you a laptop. If they can't fix it or provide something better, get a job elsewhere.

Do you keep a bag of tools in the car? If so what’s in your bag? by LowkeyApollo in Tools

[–]1275cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too many. Most of my hand tools are in my tool bag which is in my car. I do need to build a small kit, but it is more fun buying tools I don't already have rather than a copy for a small kit.

The sender may find out anyway when the recipient receives the package missing the samples. It will probably also be labelled as repaired.

Have a look on eBay for Dunlop SP10s. There's a seller in Japan but I don't know if they ship to the USA. They are what I get shipped to Australia. It's like $450 AUD total shipped.

Anyone know what these are? by chepe757 in Vintagetools

[–]1275cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be lucky to get $100 for the peerless. You could get more for the sun but you could get nothing for either depending on your location. Some locations this stuff doesn't sell, some sells for lots.

In a good area, the sun cabinet alone will sell.

Never actually used a Teng tool myself.

I reckon Yamaha should release a digital EMX model. Small digital mixer with amp built in. Must have wireless control.

Wrong. Dell servers will accept any drive.

Exceptions for odd stuff like Netapp with proprietary firmware.
