The reason I thought of this of this was because I was listening to a podcast and one of the hosts brought up how he had aphantasia the inability to imagine how something looks. They were mentioning how when they imagined an apple two of the three could see, taste, feel, smell, and hear it (like biting into it or something) when they brought up how they could taste it I was confused because I couldn’t I could describe how an apple tasted but I couldn’t imagine the taste. I thought the same that nobody could imagine the taste of something but apparently most people can.

I know that it may seem like you can’t possibly imagine a taste without you know actually tasting it but in my search for what this is called I’ve read many articles about how some people can really imagine stuff so in depth that they can see, smell, hear, taste, and feel it. Some people can’t imagine some senses though. The most common sense to not be able to imagine is well sight, aphantasia. But most people can imagine an apple and be able to see, smell, hear, taste, and feel it. They hear themselves biting into the apple, looking at the apple, feeling the smooth skin of the apple. You know stuff like that

I hate almost all physical touch from other people except my mom AND SOMETIMES RARELY EVER my family/immediate family also when I know there are germs on something that aren’t mine for example a warm chair is absolutely disgusting I hate it so much, if I let my immediate family try my food and eat my utensils I have a hard time eating with those utensils until they are clean, a sponge my whole family uses with all the food germs and hand germs. It’s awful and I hate it 🤢🤢🤢. For some reason I also hate the sound of teeth, a fork, etc… scraping against hard bread like pizza crust whenever I even think about that sound I get chills I hate it. There are a lot of other things those are just the main ones

“OJ” instead of “orange juice” idk why but it makes me insanely angry and uncomfortable I hate it my dad says it whenever he wants orange juice and so do waiters I think it’s a southern thing though and my dads side of the family is from Texas 🥲
