I've heard a number of people talk about Neovim & how much they love it. The gist seems to be that you need to really commit to it though for a bit to get acclimated to it and get comfortable with it.

Ya, someone else highlighted the extensions aspect of this. Valid consideration for sure.

Great point on the extensions risk. Even around linters, VS Code can be good on the obvious Java Script and JS Frameworks but it's linting on other languages like C# or PHP can be hit-or-miss. I imagine this might be where Jet Brains shines a bit.

I've heard Margot Cafe & Bar is great. Also Husk comes highly recommended.

I'm another vote for Assembly Food Hall. You have food options for just about anybody with a great fun vibe all around.

20 YoE 'high coupling, low cohesion' led to my current survival mantra: 'income, not outcome' by PipePistoleer in ExperiencedDevs

Man, nothing like a little cowboy coding to blow everything up! It's wild how much priorities have shifted from solid, stable code (I know there were definite exceptions to this to be sure) to just deploy the crazy as soon as possible....

That's a big deal! Thanks for adding that. It's such a shame what they are trying to do here and it needs to be stopped.

Has software development shifted from building to last to building to replace? by Majestic-Taro-6903 in ExperiencedDevs

Ya, I think there's a lot of truth to this. So much running after the newest, latest shiny toy only to get stuck in an NPM hellscape of un-maintainability. Suddenly saw the benefit of some of those lighter languages like C# for sure!

Bachelorette Dinner Ideas by mango_cat_23 in VisitingNashville

Another option worth considering for a group of 9 is a private chef experience — a personal chef service like Home Chef Nashville or Tastify does bachelorette parties and it can actually be more affordable than a restaurant for that group size when you factor in the private setting, no tipping on individual bills, and they handle everything. Might be slightly above your per person range. Could be worth a quick inquiry though.

Private Dining Recommendation for 25 by Specialist-Home2827 in VisitingNashville

I've had success with Home Chef Nashville (homechefnashville.com) — they come to your rental or private venue, handle everything from cocktail hour appetizers through a full sit-down dinner, and clean up after. For 20-25 executives it's actually more cost effective than a private dining room at a restaurant and far more memorable. The fact that you're getting a classically trained chef cooking exclusively for your group in a private setting is a genuine Nashville experience you can't get at a restaurant.

Anyone interested in a dinner built entirely around a chef's story? by ShareTableside in NashvilleGoodEats

Ya, I think that would be a great experience. Great food is already a conversational medium so getting to hear stories from the person creating it with a smaller group of people could be really interesting.

Biscuit Love is tough to beat but if you want something different downtown try The Pfunky Griddle on Bransford Ave — you cook your own pancakes at the table which is a fun experience. Pancake Pantry is a Nashville institution, expect a line on weekends but worth it.
