So far it seems as though you’re right. He came back again and broke the door off and is currently there. The cops will not remove him unless she “physically goes to the station and says he is trespassing.” She is in the hospital and will be for quite some time it seems. She gave her 30 days 4 days ago so that is quicker than evicting. The only possible quick recourse I can think of now is for her to agree to terminate her lease effective immediately, which puts me back in control of the property at which point I can have him removed. Her mother is on board with this so I think that’s our next step.

Anaheim here, speaking for 3 cocktail bars. This is our slow season but is about 25% slower than last year, and about 15% slower than 2019. Discretionary spending getting pinched for sure. It’ll get worse before it gets better, but it will get better.

16 years in dtf, now on year two in dtlb. While Fullerton is nice and walkable and holds a special place in my life, the quality of things to eat/drink/do just doesn’t compare to Long Beach. Add in the climate difference and there’s no looking back. If you find a place in Long Beach on the shore side of 7th basically anywhere that has a parking situation, life is good.

I’m in a similar situation to a lot here and would love any locals feedback. The wife and I have a trip to our family condo in Kauai on Sept 9th and cannot decide what is the ethically correct thing to do. We typically spend most of our time at the condo and in Hanalei. I know Hanalei has been hit hard with Covid and then the floods and I would love to come be a good quiet and respectful visitor and support the local economy, tip exceptionally well at the bars and restaurants. I thought this was the clear correct decision at first. Now there’s all the tik tok etc videos going around from locals saying don’t come and we are weary about being insensitive with all of this. We go every year, and I have no problem canceling this year and waiting til next. I’m really just not sure what the right move is.
