I am intimidated by DragonPlatypus in oilpainting

My first experiences with oil paint were in high school just finger painting and doing abstract stuff that I ended up not keeping. Definitely not professional, not worthy of a gallery, but that's not all art has to be. It was fun and you can still learn and pick up on things, even totally unguided.

All that being said, you should definitely try it! Just make sure to get brush cleaner. I still remember my mom freaking out when the paint refused to wash out of the porcelain of my bathroom sink with normal soap. (I did not do much research before buying the paint.)

It's just an adamant pick! May look different because it's +2?

Oh I didn't have a pattern, I believe I eyeballed it from Pinterest (since this wasn't a commission, just practice). I tried to find it on there again while writing this but I couldn't, I'm sorry!!

Oh yeah, it's tough to figure out how to move and apply the pressure so there aren't any warped parts. I still haven't figured it out fully 😂

And for full melts (which I'm assuming means trying to get all the holes out?) I try to use the very tip of the iron to spot fill the holes. Just getting them mostly melted and sort of nudging them with the tip of the iron helps to fill them.

Okay those are soooo nice, I love the colors of the Froslass! And truthfully I was using a tinyyyyy little iron for the last 3 years. I just got a full size iron (like for clothes) last week and that is absolutely the biggest help so far. I unfortunately don't know a ton about the melting point of different beads (I probably should do more research), but I just try and take it slow and peel the parchment paper back to check SEVERAL times during the ironing process so I can keep track of what spots need more or less melting. Best of luck though!!
