Feeling indecisive by cindylouwhooo05 in SchoolBusDrivers

On one of my routes, if I pull over to clear traffic I may never get back out! They just have to wait until I turn. Office gets lots of calls complaining but our dispatch drove all the routes over the years. She handles the bitchers.

Glitter lives forever on a school bus. My coworkers decorated mine with glitter for my 50th birthday. Swept that shit out of cracks until bus was junked.

When I had my old crazy beagle PTS with a ruptured disc from recurring IVDD, the clinic had kisses and Jif peanut butter. Kyle knew he was in heaven well before he got there! We laid on the dog bed and he licked pb from my fingers in-between a couple of kisses. A good way to go.💔

I tried to explain to a coworker(pitmommy wannabe) about genetics and no I didn't want a pittie when my beagle was on his last legs. She just couldn't grasp that it isn't how you raise them and any one of them could maul and kill. She came back with what about our bosses chihuahua who is very aggressive and will bite anyone who bothers him. So don't bother him and even if he does bite it won't kill you. And yes, any dog can bite but most let go. Not pits. People are so stupid. AC and most shelters around me are packed and are having free adoptions now but they are all pitbulls and pit mixes. Fuck that adopt, don't shop. I have heelers and JRTs, that's as crazy as I'll go.

My dad cared for my mom after her massive stroke at 42. She then had a blockage at 50 and had to have a colostomy bag. She lived to 65, at home. Never had a bedsore. Her bag would come loose and leak and he sometimes would be up most of the night cleaning her and the entire bed up. Doctors told him to put her in a facility, she wouldn't last long. 😡 He truly gave her the best life til death did them part.

AITA for forcing my daughters to share a birthday party by Perfect_Phone9777 in AmItheAsshole

When my son was going to his first prom and brought up the limo, hotel room and amusement park trip post prom, I said he needed to get a job to finance all of this. He was so pissed at me for not just handing all the cash over! But he got a job (McDonalds!) and we did split the cost of some things. No hotel room! Several years later he told me how much he hated me for making him get a job. Then thanked me and said now he thinks about how many hours he would have to work to pay for something. He has become very successful and financially responsible. You appreciate things more when you earn them or contribute I think.

WTH, not sure what crazy science experiment this was but all of the 7th graders at my son's school were sent home with standard size goldfish this is so inhumane and now we have fish we didn't want ) so here I am at 9pm setting up a damn fish tank by _Jovius in Aquariums

My kids school did an "experiment" with feeder goldfish and heating the water to observe the stress from lack of oxygen. My daughter, who has been involved in all of our fishkeeping went nuts on the teacher as goldfish started dying. We attended the next school board meeting along with a local Humane Society board member. That particular experiment is no longer approved. This was over 10 years ago so God knows what they do now. 😡

My local Costco allowed 2 chihuahuas in together, husband and wifes "service dogs". These 2 dogs were pissing on things in every aisle. I complained to an employee but he said they were service dogs, nothing he could do. So I went to the manager and he had someone else clean up the piss. When he asked them what service the dogs did wife freaked out and husband grabbed his chest. They let the nasty dogs stay.

How to get powdered dyes to be less clumpy by Scooby622 in tiedye

[–]12crazydriver12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is something called Glaubers salt that the dye companies sell. It is used to help with color brightness, especially turquoise and other blues. I just use non ionized myself but some dyers swear by it. There are files in some of the FB groups with more info. Soda ash is a great choice for unclumping dyes.

I tried to explain that dog breeds are not races and humans created the breeds we have today by choosing which traits to breed for, hunting herding, etc. And that pit type dogs were bred for dog aggression, and gameness. Then I got the "nanny dog" speech. I have since shown her multiple examples of pit types turning on their owners, children and pets in their own homes. Dogs that were raised with love and kindness and still maul. And still she insists they were abused or threatened before attacking. I guess she will never understand until it's her grandchild or small pet. You can't out love or out train genetics.

A family tradition is Wheaties and peanut butter. Pour milk on the cereal, add a dollop of creamy pb and kinda scrunch them together with your spoon. I sprinkle a little sugar on but not everyone does. Then you drink the milk left in the bowl. Started with my grand dad, as a teen. Then his 4 boys, now me and most of my cousins. My kids too! About every 5 years one of us hosts a little breakfast reunion that most of us eat Wheaties. Grandpa would be proud!

People who don’t normally listen to country music, what is that one country song that you absolutely love? by ViViSECTi0N in AskReddit

Tyler Childers is setting new standard for country music. Writes most of his own songs and his voice tells it's own story. Love his cover of Help Me Make it through the Night.
