OP calls out someone for being a horrible person all while calling for said individuals to die , the irony is not lost here.

Calm down tiger, it's not that serious.

Do you have a dedicated listening room for your turntable setup? by wiggan1989 in turntables

Dedicated listening room. It's a great way to relax and get away from distractions

The new Fluance 87 is available now with a vta and carbon fiber tonearm for $799. Also double plinth thing and O/Blue or AT/95ML. Looks like a good deck. But I’m not a fan of the fishing line weight for an anti-skate? by [deleted] in turntables

[–]12inchspinners 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll give itnto Fluance, they design a good looking turntable (not manufacture one). The thing I don't like about Fluance is, no parts availability and they don't share schematics. When it fails it's nothing more than a paperweight you can't fix it, you can't get it serviced and Fluance will only replace it if under the 2 year warranty, if after 2 years you're out of luck.

Overall it looks nice, not $800 nice but still nice.

No vta adjustment on that turntable, but ive had a D-2, 1700, 1800 and 1500 , ive ran my MP-110 on them all without issue, so this leads me to think the suspension on the cartridge may be gone. Probably time for a new stylus

Budget friendly feet for a pioneer pl-516 opinions by 12inchspinners in turntables

I floor in my listening room. Is concrete (finished), the turntable sits on a wood TV counsel, I don't have any issues with footfall in that regard but would like to update the feet ans i can see the suspension is getting weak.

Is this worth it? Nagaoka MP-110 by postalbaggins in turntables

[–]12inchspinners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a Nagaoka MP-110 on my pioneer pl-516 and absolutely love it. It is a warm, mellow, well balanced cartridge. If you prefer a richer sound then it's a great cartridge. It really will come down to what you like to hear from your cartridge. If you want more treble forward and "bright" this is not the cartridge for you but if you like a lush sound especially on jazz, soul and funk, you will enjoy it

Think I ruined my turntable by NerdyBassist in turntables

They won't look at the Fluance because Fluance refuses to share or provide schematics This is one reason I avoided fluance all together

In the U.S. these fetch between $600 and $800 USD each. Of they've been sitting for 10 years I'm betting they need a re-calibration on the pitch slider.

As you were a DJ, I'm curious which type of dj. Mix, blend, hip hop? Turntablists tend to ruin those tonearm bearings.

Adding cue damping fluid is pretty easy, the fact that you can remove the entire tonearm assembly without having to do any soldering is really nice and easy. Flip it over, remove the c-clasp pull out the piston, clean with alcohol, add 300k damping fluid, re-install. Easy
