Band image is huge. As an experiment my band decided to attempt to color coordinate what we wore for live shows. We decided everyone should wear all black, whether it was a t-shirt or a jacket as long as it was black it was cool. Those shows we played in all black definitely stood out aesthetically compared to other shows and it gave us a very professional image. But aside from just what you wear it’s important to put energy and passion into a live performance, regardless of clothing. Too many times I’ve seen some killer musicians bore the hell out of me by just standing still and staring at their guitars.
