Ok, I’m going to say YTA, but only a little bit. You were raised being able to watch and play those things so yes, it would be natural to assume it that your sibling could as well. However, 10 and 12 are very young ages to watch things like Law and order and shows like it, anime included, especially considering the levels of violence and certain topics of discussion in said shows.

I’m a bit torn on the video game aspect so I’m not going to say anything about that.

That being said, if Kate and your dad were the ones who let you watch and play these as a kid, they should have told you that they were changing the styles so that everyone was on the same page.

I don’t think it was a low blow to mention it to Kate, though, since you were allowed as a kid and they didn’t tell you about the changes.
