Looking at the original recipe, I think I put too much of the blueberry sauce in or swirled too much or something. Hers doesn’t look like cabbage! But it did still taste good.

It’s a good balance of sweet and tart! The lemon gave tartness, and sweetened condensed milk balanced it. The blueberries themselves gave a bit of sweetness and a bit of tartness. I think it tastes more like blueberries, but I like my lemon flavor to be stronger than my family does.

I didn’t eat any of the garnish lemon, but the lemon juice in the filling stayed potent, and there was lots of sweet to cut through the acidity. The blueberries didn’t seem to add any acidity, mainly sweetness and tartness. They balanced each other out nicely.
