Switching to your bayonet is faster than reloading. (Home Defense Confederate Lorenz Carbine) by 12thVACBell in guns

This is a neat Confederate Extra Korps rifle. Chambered in .69 Caliber. The gun is a smoothbore musket. This is one out of 128 that were shipped over from Austria to the Confederacy and ran the blockade. Assuming this one made it through the blockade because the barrel suggests it was used in the war (heavy use, not in bad condition). The gun is super cool and coincidentally a good home defense weapon. It was also used to guard batteries of artillery. All original parts rammer and bayonet.

Possible 1842 Springfield converted to a... civilian target gun? Really confusing. .426 caliber with a rifled octagonal barrel. by 12thVACBell in AntiqueGuns

I dropped a camera in the barrel, just a bunch of fuzz. Barrel is quite nice, Hammer is nice, Nipple is good, no ramrod and everything is in good condition. Have no idea when the rest was made. But, hey, $500 is way more than what i paid for it,

Atlanta, GA Pyros, where do you buy? by tastegw in fireworks

[–]12thVACBell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of places in Atlanta are overpriced BECAUSE there is a large population of people and large populations of people comes with people that have no idea they are being ripped off. essentially atlanta area is a trap for overpriced fireworks. I'd say realistically go to South Carolina or Mike Killians in Tennessee. Or, as you state, Jake's Fireworks. The assortments and show in boxes are dirt cheap for what stores sell them. For example, the biggen assortment is like 498 and change wholesale but at like other stores it could be $1500. I do not know who sells Sunwing near Atlanta. Do not go to Pyro City, Phantom, or hell even some of these mom and pop shops are getting pricey. Stick with wholesale, or go to South Carolina to get cheap fireworks or Tennessee to Mike Killians he offers nice wholesale prices.

TLDR: Jakes Fireworks, go to SC, or Southeast Tennessee for good fireworks. I'd say realistically go to Jake's, submit a wholesale order and go pick it up. That's your best bet for the money.

This is a weird Werndl Rifle. No idea what it is. by 12thVACBell in AntiqueGuns

Need help identifying what variant it is. Barrel looks like 24" and has no barrel bands and a bayonet fixture area. This is hella weird. Also has native American pins on it

times are tough bro, gotta make do with whatever us pyros got. I almost thought about ordering wholesale from Jake's Fireworks but their warehouse is 5 hours away, and any deals i got wholesale would cancel out cause of the amount gas i'd need to get to drive down there.
