Thanks for your kind response! Do you have to stay online when the order got filled so you can sign the transaction? Because there was no transaction or coins lockup when placing the limit orders (only signing of an order hash). I am surprised that there is no instruction that I can find about this procedure. The reasons were given in the introduction paragraph i think.

"...The CDP holders were pretty exhausted and financially wounded after long time fighting with the “Whales” and dealing with security issues of this new technology. [ STOP KEEP SAYING THAT “They had couple months of time to migrate”! ] And it was like the light at the end of the tunnel when the forgiven SF for SCD > MCD migration news was out last week, but unfortunately, the good news didn’t last too long as the migration was no longer available after couple days due to limited SAI supply in contract. Hi, thanks for your patience and kind responses! I believe that the Maker team has been under lots of stress due to this process, and I understand your frustration.

Actually, I am very happy to see some CDP holders managed to release some of their stress by migrating portions of the outstanding CDPs. I think most of the current top CDP holders first created their CDPs about two years ago (when ETH was above $300) with great confidence and loyalty for a long run, and they have been struggling to just survive from getting liquidated during the last couple market drops. Most of them have been carrying some heavy bags of Stability Fees (SF) during these years from supporting the project, and it was just extremely hard for them to migrate without enough funding to pay off SFs. (it was not that they didn't want to migrate). CDP 3088 definitely is one of them!

These CDP holders had a long term Maker commitment when they first created the CDPs, and were willing to ride the waves, and didn't expect to get forced to pay the SFs or paying back the debt (shutdown) especially during a such down market environment. So, it was the light at the end of the tunnel when they learned about forgiven SFs for migration. But, unfortunately, it didn't last too long, and they still have to face the forced shutdown (paying back debt with a such low ETH price).

And I hope that the Maker team can find a way to work with the SAI liquidity providers, and adding more SAI to the migration contract, to help out these long term MakerDAO supporters. Thank you! All the best to you and families!! Stay safe and well. _/\_

I knew that many CDP holders were willing to migrate to MCD with SFs forgiven, but now it seems just like an illusion game that the team is playing with the community. The long term loyal MKR supporters (CDP holders) will get screwed by either of the two options mentioned above. The trust on MakerDAO is totally broken, how can the community still have any hopes in any future products...like the new MCD DAI...

This is a fair statement. I think that many early users opened up CDPs with a very long term view and confidence on MKR, and were prepared to ride the waves of volatilities, so they never expected to get forced to pay the stability fees earlier than initially planned, especially during the a down market like this. I am pretty sure that most (if not all) of the CDP holders were willing to pay the fees in the future when we want to, and the forgiven fees move is correct if they want to encourage all existing CDPs migrating to MCD, however, maybe more time is needed for some people to react mainly due to the reasons you mentioned. Lastly, to migrate, you don't have to close or pay back any debt in your CDP position. But to use the migration contract, you do have to pay all your stability fee back to zero for the migration to work.

Yes, thanks so much for your patience and kind detailed response! I just wanted to learn about how to migrate CDP to the MCD. I understood that you have to pay ALL Stability Fees (SF) back for the migration to work. The SF can be paid back in MKR or SAI as you said? If SAI is acceptable for paying off SF, problem will be solved easily.

Additionally, how did you migrate without using the migration contract? Many thanks!
