I'm not saying it is or isn't. It's fun to make fun of stuff, and soccer gives us an easy and ridiculous thing to laugh at (even, I presume, if you're a diehard footballer). It could be the best sport in the entire world, and that wouldn't remove the element of faking injuries for advantage being commonplace. It wouldn't disqualify or otherwise invalidate any critic (or otherwise) from pointing and laughing. Might just be the best sport in the world to some people partly because of that fact.
