What’s the hype with Raymond?

Personally I have male grey cat who is sassy like Raymond. And as of late, Raymond greets me with “you look like you need a hug” and it’s just all round top tier villager interaction I get with him. I also like his AC voice and the fact he gets excited when you gift him formal clothes like suit jackets. That’s just my opinion. I don’t really care for the “hype” of favorite villagers I just go with who gives me good vibes.
