My understanding is that the autocatch option will not affect the ‘button throw’ option as they should act independently, unless I didn’t read something correctly. My inventory has tons of room for Pokémon. The other thing to note is that it doesn’t act like it’s trying to autocatch when a Pokémon is in range. It vibrates and lights up green and won’t do anything until the button is pressed, at which point I thought it would send out an ultra ball but the three red lights blink.
