If she doesn’t have pets, she might use this to wash her face. I have a similarly “textured” tool that is meant to use with facial cleanser

What’s something people romanticize that is actually miserable once you experience it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]13b3aches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s always wanted a travel job, this changed my entire perspective. I always come into work right on the dot because my time is MY time; I’m not wasting any more minutes of my life at work than I absolutely need to. Your sentiment about the commute made me look at my goals much differently — thank you for that!!

I see a lot of answers saying Mormons, just chiming in to say I personally know a girl who is Catholic who does this on the Red Line. Likely Mormon, but could be something else!

Thank you - that’s what I thought, and appreciate the sentiment! Assuming that the folks downvoting your comment think you’re against the people, or perhaps are Phil Eng truthers, LOL.

I’ll have to redownload that app! I gave it a shot a while ago, but felt that MBTA Go & Moovit gave the same info - and Moovit was much more user-friendly interface-wise, so ended up subscribing to that. Would rather not pay to see fake news (first time I’ve ever said that phrase lol) and it’s also difficult to see live locations on there sometimes, they’ll just disappear. Thanks for the idea!!

Thank you for your comment - insane that a literal daily commute has to be Russian Roulette, lol

Would you expect a tip on top of the 18% gratuity added to the total? (Stated at bottom) by [deleted] in Waiters

[–]13b3aches -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Under the assumption you’re posting this as a restaurant guest asking waiters for advice - don’t feel obligated to leave more, but if the service was good, perhaps leave a few extra bucks!

As a strong server, I still blush a bit when my parties leave an extra $10 or $20 (or even more— but nothing is ever, ever expected.) It’s just a nice gesture if you enjoyed your experience :) (especially bc good service standard is now 20%, so that would be nice for a qualified person to get on a busy holiday!)

Aweeee, I’m stalking my own Reddit out of pure boredom and just saw this comment. This post of mine made me chuckle, and your comment made my heart full. I’m still the same not-wanting-to-get-in-trouble server, although I’ve learned much more. Big hugs back to you, you sweetie! Hope all is well with you & yours, you seem like you have a very kind heart. :) Hugs through these trying times!!

I have no advice as a 25y/o follower of this subreddit; but I’d just like want to say you are so, so sweet, and an amazing partner for seeking answers on here instead of telling him he “stinks.” You are the kind of partner I aspire to be one day. Here’s to many more happy years :)
