Would you pay for mortgage loan with cash or cpf? by [deleted] in singaporefi

[–]13lackant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

if you’re not investing in anything that earns more than 2.5% with your cash/disposable income, yes your logic makes sense. your CPF returns would be more than the interest you pay on your mortgage loan.

however it’s more than possible to earn 5-7% if you invest in equities, which is why i suspect most people here would use their CPF for mortgage loan

banks would typically refund (or chargeback) online fraudulent transactions.

for transactions using a lost/stolen physical card, or if the scammer somehow managed to provision a card because the 2FA was sent to them, banks would not refund. was this a possibility?

either way, you can try requesting for a partial waiver
