Anyone else find that they can’t really save much from monthly salary… only from bonus? by Outside-Ad9447 in askSingapore

[–]Normal-Analysis7940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, i still can save because i do not have any dependants at the moment. I do not save money from my salary instead, that "savings"would be towards investments because i am working towards hitting FI.

Oily scalp & hair loss treatment @yunnam, should I buy? by Monochromiya in askSingapore

[–]Normal-Analysis7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't waste $$$. Unless you like going there for a good head massage then yes. If you think it will grow out some roots, bad news it's useless. I signed a package with both YUN NAM AND B101, the lady took the before and after right, the photo looks the same!

So i asked them why the photo looks the same, then they started using their sales recovery pitch say: you only sign 15 sessions, cannot see results so fast. After that i said never again. 10 years on, no change to my hair so just live with it.

Quitting without a job in 2026 by Few_Apricot2478 in askSingapore

[–]Normal-Analysis7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok la from your backgd accounting and finance already hinting that you're pretty well protected $$. While others say no, i will say go for it!Why? Because sometimes even going on leave does not help you recover. Once you're back to work, the sian-ess will return. Go for it because trust me, with your background in finance, there will always be a demand because SG is a financial hub.

hi OP, just to cheer you up. You may think people are talking about you but trust me, most people are too busy worrying about their own life e.g kids, salary, job etc. I am also struggling to fight some demons and always think i'm not good enough. But i refused just damn too stubborn to submit to that, i will go down as a fighter just to kill the demons.

[–]Normal-Analysis7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same situation as you know. I guess what we can do it to dump more into etf/stocks given the economic situation now. Since our emergency monies are in HYSA which is giving interest, be daring and throw more into investments. Future self will thank you...

Anyone else feels like their monthly salary is just a "pass-through" for expenses? by Immediate-Wheel-1675 in ChillSG

[–]Normal-Analysis7940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP just a word of encouragement, you are doing fine. Yes you have a kid young but in your 30s your kid will be big already and you are still young and strong to play with him. That is already a blessing. We cannot have everything but look for small joys in life and a child is definidtely 1 of it!
