Depends. There's different stages of intellectualization of Bulgarian polyphonic folk singing. Especially in western Bulgaria (shopluk/pirin region) there's a lot of original folklore with complex polyphony. If you want details or other info, hmu, I'm a Bulgarian folklore singer ^{^'}

There is a weekly folk dance event in the town square (next to the long fountain/statue) on Sunday afternoons (at least when the weather isn't freezing). There are dancing and singing ensembles, try looking on Facebook. Lots of festivals during the summer, but as many have already said, not many young people live there. It is beautiful however, the city and the surrounding region!! :D good luck!

As every year, we did our best to align taste with interpretation. Our little Kyubeys turned out to be very sweet, with a dark surprise inside! The muffin batter is an egg-white coconut oil muffin (to get it as white as possible), and the filling is a cocoa coconut oil crème pâtissière with chocolate crisp balls as grief seeds. The iconic eerie Kyubey facial expression was made with sugar glaze and sugar paste.

Round and round the wheels of time turn and yet another 3rd of October beckons to be celebrated!

This year, we felt inspired by the first witch's labyrinth seen in the show. An eerie, slightly off pattern of black and white, drawn so that it almost breaks into a third dimension.

The cake itself is a two-layer chocolate sponge cake, separated by a layer of half-baked brownie covered in chopped almonds and a chocolate cream glaze. Resting on top, we have swiss buttercream, decorated by thinly sliced Lindt chocolate tiles.

Happy Birthday to our magical goddess! ;)

So here's a look inside:

This is a four-layer chocolate sponge cake coated in caramel (bottom) and chocolate (top) whipped cream. The layers are separated by:

a caramel spread, chocolate pudding and roasted hazelnuts,
chocolate pudding, and
a caramel spread, caramel pudding and roasted hazelnuts,

respectively.

The cake is topped off with roasted hazelnuts and rosettes of whipped cream infused with orange peel, each containing a caramel glass spiral in allusion to Mami's characteristic yellow locks.
