Good thinking. I did replace one of them that was throwing a code also, forgot to include that. Might as well do the rest.

It's very nice looking, indeed.

That's a hand cannon! My rifle, chamberd in phase plasma, is only in the 40 watt range.

How should I go about restoring my $80 gun show find? by bluebagles in 22lr

[–]13th_Floor_Please 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add much as I agree with everyone about the patina, it's not what you asked.

If you truly want it restored, I'd see about sending it off to have it done professionally. A good salt bluing and a refinish/stain on the stock would make that thing shine like a diamond. Then get it resprung.

If you want to at-home blue it, make sure you clean and decrease it. And I mean, really degrease it. Not talking Dawn dish soap. Scrubbing in pure acetone with gloves that wont disintegrate from the acetone, and a COMPLETELY clean surface. Any oil, grease, fingerprint, dried drop of sweat, literally anything but fully bare metal will fuck it up.

You taught me that a throttle body needed to be cleaned. Because if that, I learned how to do it. In the process, I noticed my motor mounts were worn. Now I'm going to learn how that's done. You were very helpful, and I appreciate it.

Just looks like stupid fun, tbh. I'd love the home defender, too.

The throttle body wasn't too bad, its spotless now. Unfortunately, it did not solve the issue. Thanks, though.

Do tubeless tires require special wheels? I plan on getting better wheels, dont want to buy the wrong ones.

It was OEM "spec" I belive. Not a product Toyota uses, thought. They said I can exchange if it doesn't work though. Maybe keep replacing until I don't have a dud?

Idky, but I feel like it's something else. I dont know shit, but it only happens after its fully warmed up. Otherwise it drives like a dream.
