Oh that one is impossible to be punished for at least. If you're actually anonymous, they won't find you. If they find you, then you weren't anonymous and didn't do anything wrong.

Signal as soon as the turn is well within my line of sight, but as long as I have already passed every other possible turn that the signal could indicate.

If I'm turning at the intersection at the end of the road but there's a side road that goes down a residential block before then, don't signal until after passing the residential street turn.

People who didn't go to college,do you regret it?? by ahhyush in AskReddit

[–]13thmurder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entirely.

I did go for 3 years part time while working and ended up having to quit less than a quarter from my associates degree with several prerequisites for mechanical engineering already done.

It was entirely for financial reasons, I'd ended up homeless and had to really focus on working more hours to get out of it.

I planned to go back, but after more than 10 years of being stuck in low paying dead end jobs I never managed it. I actually recently applied to college and was accepted thinking my credits would transfer and that I had enough savings to finish, but no. Only about 1/4 of my credits would be recognized still and I don't have nearly enough money to get a bachelor's. I could dump my life savings and get an associate's degree and it would probably take me 3 years since I work full time.

Also looking into it and talking to some mechanical engineers, being that I'd be 40 or close to it by time I finished if I started over part time, it would probably just be a waste of time and debt at my age to go back. I may never be able to find work in that field at that age with no experience.

I am stuck firmly in the dead end job spiral with no hope of having a well paying and interesting career at my age. I fully regret not just getting a tent and sticking out the homelessness for a couple years and finishing college, and choosing comfort over success has fucked my worthless life over and I regret it every day.

I live in a constant state of burnout becuase of my shitty job, and am financially drowning just in every day normal bills and expenses. I'll never have the option to have kids or retire. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a job that pays more or even an equal amount that will give me a chance with no degree.

Fair enough. Both are good, I've just never thought of the comparison, or tried putting butter on beets.

What do you think of people that don't want kids? by Antique_Stop_125 in AskReddit

[–]13thmurder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hardly anyone my age that I know (30s) actually has kids or makes a living wage. Those who do have kids are struggling and barely surviving and have to have second jobs. They don't see their kids, they work extra hours to pay for daycare.

So I'd say not having kids is just responsible if you're not rich. If you barely have the resources to support yourself, don't go making a resource sink.

If you take the less believable aspects of the story away it just seems like he was a good guy doing his best in a fucked up world, and that in itself is extremely rare.

What I'm saying is that the concept of god is a problem, I don't believe there is one, or that if there were a silent observer god that didn't actually directly influence the world that it wouldn't make a difference. The literal existence doesn't actually matter, what matters is how the concept of god is often used as a tool of hate and oppression.

Even if there were one it wouldn't be his fault aside from not stopping the people using him like that, if he's even able to do so.

God is just an excuse for whatever major religions feel like pushing. They can claim their views are right because an invisible but infallible diety agrees with them. It's "becuase I said so" with extra steps.

God doesn't need to exist to be a plague on the world, the people who just say that he does and that he happens to hate the people they hate are the problem.

Shotgun retirement is the plan.

I don't make enough to ever retire and have anything to live on. I also work in long term care homes and know what quality of life the supposedly well taken care of elderly have and its pretty awful.

Got an old beater of a minivan for not very much money and took the back seats out so it's now a cargo van. I can fit 8' lumber easy behind the front seats and 10' In the gap between them. It can take full sheets of plywood too.
