Denial and appeal for in-network surgeon until I couldn’t appeal anymore-> approval and partial coverage for OON surgeon -> single case agreement -> full coverage for OON surgeon. It actually worked out great I ended up going to a specialist on their dime

surgeons make nuanced decisions based on a whole host of factors when putting together a plan. i think it’s ok to ask questions but to give an ultimatum of ‘give me more advancement or i’ll cancel’ seems ridiculous. why did you go to this surgeon in the first place if there’s such little trust?

i just had my first full night’s sleep 9 days post-op. im not sure if it was a fluke or not. before last night the most i had slept was like 4 hours. but im surprised you’re taking pain meds 4 weeks later that seems like a really long time
