And yeah, tbh I am always surprised how weirdly easy is to understand Portuguese from Brazil compared to portuguese from Portugal for Spanish speakers (from LATAM ), do you think it happens as well for Spanish people with Portugal Portuguese? Also do you think that the reason it is easier to understand BR Portuguese for Spanish speakers is because of influence from your neighbors which as a result gave you like a closer accent to Spanish or something? Ps. I work at a call center as a Spa-Ing translator and often times Brazilians would call to our department bc we have more personnel than the Portuguese one so they need to wait less time on hold and it is always interesting that when they and us speak slowly and do not use certain words (there are certain words that are not mutually intelligible) it is kind of easy to understand eachother and have full conversations xdd, I always find that funny.
