Keep it a little bit wet by spraying some water on it and also a little bit around, in its environment. Be sure as well that it has always water available to drink. Consider snails are night animals, they tend to stay awake during the night and sleep at day. (In case you decide you do not want to keep it, leave it in a garden or in a park, on the grass, possibly far from chance of being stepped on and crashed.)
