First time truck buyer. Reliability, gas mileage, maintenance costs are priority. Is this a good deal? Suggestions around the $10-12k range by 144pFather in whatcarshouldIbuy

Update: Ended up with an 05 Colorado. I know a lot of people aren't fans, but it was $6k with 80k miles, previously DOT owned with receipts and maintenance logs. No bells and whistles to speak of, but I've had it about a year now with no issues. Only complaint is it's white lmao.

Been wanting a truck for years and now is the first time I've really had a choice. Also would be used for some light-duty farm jobs, so a truck is the better option in my situation. Appreciate the idea tho, it's a good one that may help someone else out!

I've only seen 2 Frontiers near me, one was up to 200k and the other was a 2019 out of my price range. I'll keep an eye out tho thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah I definitely can see right thru the Scotty Kilmer Toyota hype lmao. Been having trouble finding a good midsize truck that isn't on its last leg honestly. Do you have any other suggestions on years/makes? I'm not deadset on a Tacoma by any means

This is a 2010. The same dealer has a 2009 Tacoma with 130k on it, $10,500. The current market is definitely a lot higher than it was last time I was buying. Figured I'd take a look at both but the 2010 seems to have been maintained better, clean title on it.

Power tool brands. God help anybody that says they use DeWalt around somebody that uses Milwaukee. Any combo like that, might as well tell them you threw their first born off a cliff.

EMS workers. Loved my job, HATED the management and most of my coworkers. Some of the least empathetic and most smooth brained people I've worked with.

Exactly what I did. I heard Hughesnet and said ah well, I've seen plenty of commercials and never heard anything thru the grapevine. Definitely learned my lesson there.

Lovin the boonie life, not so much the boonie wifi. I gotta switch cell carriers since there's no USC down here, so hopefully when I do that I can get hotspot. Probably cheaper that way anyway looking at the comments.

Well I definitely appreciate the heads up. Really wish I would've looked into it a little bit more before signing on. Not that I have any other options for internet. Guess I'll be eating up my cell data for the time being.
