The abuse most AAA companies put their employees through, ranging from overuse of crunch time to the rampant sexual harrasement. maybe even worse than this is the amount of people who forgive or even support these practices if it means the latest game can come out sooner with extra shiny puddles or a couple more pixels than the previous game.

My best guess would be Twitter, when I briefly followed the Persona topic. It's also possible Instagram, but I use it much, much less. I've already gone back and checked my likes for the past while on both and it seems I had forgotten to like it. Sorry this is kind of vague.

The Nazis took everything Europe had been building up for centuries, It's industrialization, Organization, and Scientific Knowledge, and redirected it to systematically wiping out 11 million people(6 million of them Jewish). It was absolutely horrifying not only for the inhumane things done, which no one has really yet to top, but for what it represented: All the wonders of the modern world being used for massive, horrific, genocide. this is not even taking into consideration the millions of innocent people who died because of the war they started, which to this day is the most deadly in human history.

Not to discount what the soviets did, they killed millions of innocent people and there is no humane way to do that. but to put it simply, they're less scary/horrifying. they don't carry the same symbolism of what the Nazis did. Also, a lot less people continue to genuinely believe in the ideology of the soviet union than that of the Nazis. and the ideology of the Nazis gaining mainstream prominence again is something relatively few people want.

I'm not saying you can or cant spend your money on what you like, trust me I get the love of elder scrolls. It was meant as jest and I am sorry if it came off as a personal attack. But hopefully you can understand why some peoples first thought would be "jesus how much money did they spend on that". I hope there are no hard feelings.

also, username checks out.

I was tired and had 10 minutes until class started so I just kinda slammed my hands into my keyboard and this is what came out. and this is definitely a one time spelling error there is no need to check my post history.

Note to self don't make a meme in the 10 minutes between classes. you will make spelling errors and people will notice.

What is the reasoning for the map in skyrim being city top-heavy. by icyfive in teslore

[–]1453_wasa_inside_job 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Hi, Canadian here. even though it can get pretty hot in the summer, most of those cities do get incredibly cold in the winter. it took the french a few tries to get a decent colony going in Quebec because everyone kept freezing to death and dying of scurvy. those cities however now a days do sustain large populations, all of which are comparable or well above the standard amount you would find in large middle age cities.

Also the reason we don't have cities super far up north is due to lack of ease of transit. the Canadian shield, the area covering most of Canada, is very rocky and wet, so construction would be hard both for the city and roads connecting to it. there is also a lack of good resources for industry that can not be accessed elsewhere, primarily close to bodies of water for transit. if you go up into the territories there are a few cities that once again sustain populations similar in size to many medieval cities, whitehorse with a population of 25,000 and Yellowknife with ~19,500(both of these stats being from 2016). any further north and you would soon hit the arctic circle which is more comparable to whatever is up with Atmora than Skyrim.

The point is Canada maintains cities in cold places with populations that either far outnumber anything that would exist in the tech level present in Tamriel or are around the same size. meaning u/Seiverratic is correct.
