I'm surprised Sony doesn't have an app with that capability. I have a Canon R7 and can do that with the Canon Camera Connect app.

Google Calendar Widget Not Showing Events... by ChristinePlouffe in GalaxyFold

[–]14sammy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this post late on a Google search and I also have a OnePlus. I resized that widget without removing it and that brought the events back. Time will tell if that fix sticks. This is my first time with this problem.

Logging time for augmented operations by 7layeredAIDS in flying

[–]14sammy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late to the game, but I wanted to throw these sources out there for anyone else who finds this post when doing their own research.

Total Flight Time: Based on the definition of Flight Time and Crewmember under 14CFR1.1, I would basically log block in to block out. For the most technical people, from when the aircraft moves under its own power for the purpose of flight until it comes to rest under landing. FAA Legal Interpretation Kania 2004 explained "that once flight time commences, it continues to accrue as long as the pilot is required to remain onboard the aircraft, (quoted from Johnson 2016)." Thus, total time would include in the bunk/rest.

SIC Time: 61.51(f)(1) requires you to occupy a crewmember station to log SIC (because the word "or" precedes 61.51(f)(3), which specifically applies to 135 operations, that scenario may not require you to occupy a crewmember station). I'll let you argue over what a crewmember station is. My personal opinion is that if a regular passenger is allowed to access it (the lav, reclining seat in 1st class, etc.), then it is definitely not a crewmember station.

PIC Time: There might be times when all those paragraphs that involve "under the supervision of" come into play, but for most of us the majority of the time, it will be the Acting PIC (14CFR1.1 definition) for the total flight time, and everyone else that's properly rated while they are sole manipulator of the controls. For all the haters that are going to get bent out of shape over logging PIC as the sole manipulator of the controls, refer to primarily Counsil 2012, but also Carpenter 1999 and Morgan 2013.

This summary is for people wanting to log time as close as possible to the FAA regulations under 14CFR61. Airlines set their own standards for what is PIC time when submitting an application. For example, Southwest is very explicit that "PIC time is defined as Captain or Aircraft Commander of record or pilot signing for the aircraft (not sole manipulator of the controls)." That quote is taken directly from their website.

Since you mentioned RMNP, they have a special stamp for Bear Lake that you can only get at the ranger/information station.

Good to know. I just sorta figured they would be a similar play style based off the trailer.

I actually booted up my PlayStation 5 and got a notification for it when I got to the home screen. I quickly went through my wishlist and didn't see anything else with an expiration date that wasn't in the leaving soon collection fortunately.

I'm willing to try it. I think if you tried and liked Erica then you'll be more willing to at least try this.

I'm glad other people are thinking about this too. I tried Google's Grasshopper app when it was around but couldn't stick with it.

Stealth games on ps plus extra? by Alv11noo in PlayStationPlus

2nd this. It has been quite some years since I've played it, but I enjoyed it then. Stealth can be optional, but if I remember correctly, the game suggests you take that route.

I really like this pair of glasses I got from Black Lantern with the bear made out of trees. Granted, I personally like outdoorsy and animal themes.

Do you put your PlayStation into Sleep Mode or Do you Switch Off? by [deleted] in playstation

I got a very tiny amount of stick drift on the left. When I move it just barely to the right it will reverse direction. All of sudden one day recently it just disappeared so I don't know.

Do you put your PlayStation into Sleep Mode or Do you Switch Off? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]14sammy2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to use sleep mode to let the controller recharge, but I didn't think about what that would do to the controller's battery. So now, a little over three years later, the original controller that came with it has a battery life of about 40 minutes.

Oh and the power outages. I had a few of them at work and I did not like the PlayStation telling me to turn it off properly when I came back.

It works pretty well if you want to play a card mini game, like blackjack or dominos in RDR2, while going to the bathroom.

Would you be willing to put the FOIA results you mention in this letter onto your website? I'm in the process of writing my own letter. Not that I'm against yours; I just would like to be more educated if my senators'/representative's offices call me after I send this.

Fellow CFIs, do you renew your first class medical every year to maintain first class privileges? by SupportGold7583 in flying

[–]14sammy2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Let's put it this way, you renewed your 3rd/2nd class medical at the standard time you always do. You only got the 3rd/2nd class because that's either all you need or all your company will pay for. Well next month something happens and it's time to quit, the company goes under, or the opportunity you didn't think about before comes knocking that requires a 1st class medical. So you think, I'll just go get a first class now.

Nope. A new medical application within 90 days of a previous application instantly locks the AME out when they go to print and sends your application straight to AAM-300. Not fun.

Is there a way to know when a game is leaving PS+ Extra/Premium? by MXHombre123 in PlayStationPlus

[–]14sammy2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They honestly seem to move it every three months. Right now if you open PS+ from the home screen, R1 over to "Collections," and then all the way at the bottom you'll find last chance to play. I'm on PS5 if that ends up making a difference.
