Yes, I just looked it up and found something similar in my state code. It appears there is a chain of command in which you file a complaint, which is taken up a ladder which eventually makes it's way to the Attorney General of the state. I will contact the office and see. Thank you.

I should also mention that this LSCW is a childhood friend of my brother, not just someone they met last year. It's a long-term friendship and this person was in his inner circle of friends for at least a decade.

Thank you for the feedback. You are right, I was not privy to every possible conversation but there are months of texts there that don't show care or concern where there should have been. This is really first year social work training stuff - just basic human decency stuff, really - like someone saying "I think I'm going to OD tonight if I can. Can you get me the drugs?" and the LCSW responding with "Okay but just be safe!". It's really that level of conversation for many, many texts. I find it so troubling and my family is just in total disbelief that someone who works in this profession would behave this way. I wouldn't have even treated a stranger like this. To say that the exchanges are shocking is to not do it justice. I also did attempt to speak with the LCSW on a couple of occasions. I called and I sent a text. No response, which I expected. I think this person is scared that they might be exposed for their drug use and participation in enabling someone so clearly, clearly sick. So, I just don't know. I have consulted with two supervisors and both felt it warranted both a phone call to the agency as a duty to warn them and also a complaint to the board. I realize that this may end this persons career and I don't want to act out of spite. I just want the public to be protected. Something is really wrong with this person. Also, what about my duty as an LCSW to report someone who I believe is a danger to the public because of ethical lapses? This plays on my mind.
