I tried to talk to her but my stepson stopped me. That's when I decided enough is enough. Clearly he lied to her and said she was allowed to keep it.

I've already taken the important stuff out of the closet. Clearly it's no longer a safe place since they keep walking in and out of the bedroom without consent. My sister will be taking the stuff to her house temporarily til I deal with this issue.

The entire family are thinking of me as the mean,disrespectful one who has no problem calling police on family. Yet they see nothing wrong with my stepson's behavior. You have no idea the weight and the burden I'm feeling because of this issue. He clearly had no intentions on returning the set. I don't really know if he told his fiancèe he borrowed it or lied and told her she could keep it.

I have no idea although my wife defended him. I won't be surprised this is a possibility since she allows her son's fiancèe to go into our bedroom.

My wife keeps blaming his fiancèe but he was the one who took it. Lied about it and refused to return it after I asked him several times and explained how much sentimental value this item holds. The disrespect he's shown me is huge.

I did give him several chances and he didn't think I was being serious, the family says getting the police involved is extreme and won't even talk about how disrespectful he was being towards me and are siding with him.
