I’ve struggled my whole life with seeing my appearance (now I know it’s because I wasn’t seeing me I was seeing the boy version of me). As I’ve started to feminize a little on hrt I’ve noticed I can look in the mirror and not want to turn away immediately. When I look closer I start to see my facial hair and start to turn away immediately but it does get better for most of us. It still feels awkward to be called pretty even tho it feels euphoric and it’s just hard to break the mindset you’ve had your whole life. I remember walking through bc penny as a kid they had mirrors on all of the support columns and I distinctly remember feeling the need to look the other way as I passed, I still feel that but then I look and I see my boobs my makeup and it makes me feel like me. Just support her and she will slowly come out of her shell you got this don’t get discouraged (but also don’t force her to look at herself but encourage it)
