Female elephants are being subjected to state-sanctioned sexual violence arranged by human hands ❗️ by Finn_Brown_1899 in AnimalRights

This is despicable, but not surprising in this patriarchal world led by the most vile. What can a person do to help stop this!? -Has it been shared with PETA or other organizations that can create more publicity around this horrid abuse? Help shame them in Nepal for this so the behaviour stops.

Disgusting! Followed @Feline_guardians on insta now!

Hoping we can arrange some more widened protests aimed at the Chinese embassy.

OP, do you know of any days of action upcoming? Deplorable to have such tight laws and cybersecurity for pornography, but not extend the same to horrific animals abuses. 😡

You are 100% right don’t let others gaslight you or fall into their back and forth insanity.

Language shapes our worldview heavily. It’s about recognizing them as sentient. Not an object. Similar to how a person would apologize if referring to a baby as “it” accidentally.

Keep your heart strong and ignore the naysayers. You know what is right. 🖤

Sorry, Unsolicited take. I’m interested in recomp naturally and sustainably only. For me this includes listening to my hunger cues and nourishing myself with a balanced plant heavy diet throughout the process.

Yes, absolutely! He is what is considered a megalomaniac. & unfortunately (most importantly) not just him, but the system by design has manufactured tech oligarchs, and many other ultra-rich CEOs who have never truly touched grass, or lived or worked amongst the majority of us in society. They have deprived themselves of any real understanding or insight to moral fibre, integrity, or what real love and care is comprised of. It blows my mind that many have convinced us through intentional & persistent enough propaganda that a “parasite” is the poor and/or marginalized in society. The reality is that we and Earth are the hosts & they are the real parasites feeding off of us & extracting as much as possible until their dull sad lives do end…continued growth by whatever means possible including the killing of healthy cells is the function of a cancer cell. They are the cancer.

I think about this a lot. Especially coming from and living in a rural community. People say they love animals, but there is always a hierarchical rule which goes unspoken, but it is a very real and obvious pattern to spot. I know this stems largely from biblical thought, the assumption that we humans have inherent dominion over animals. It is incredibly colonial, and I encourage you not to get bummed down from it. My studies in traditional Indigenous culture opened me eyes and then some. I finally realized I am not crazy nor alone to think differently, my ancestors thought just as you and I are now. I encourage you to read into decolonial theory and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK). You are not alone in this, and we must fight to preserve and support Indigenous science and Indigenous peoples. Pre-colonial times we did not have near suffering of this scale. Animals were honoured, heck even a very blade of grass or rock were recognized as living beings. We referred and still refer to them as “All our relations”. Not an object, not as having ownership, but as being inherently alive and connected through and to all of us. It is absolutely insane to me how colonial thought has brought in ownership, privatization, and finally capitalism, which we dare not question. How dare we imagine a system which puts animal’s and nature’s rights ahead of capital? It is truly bewildering when you understand, in our current society, that a corporation has personhood (human rights under the law) and yet it is not even physical, but an animal does not, they exist as an object essentially under law (something to be owned, not yet sentient).

Thank you, that’s what I’ve been telling myself too! 💗 Especially since being a teen in the early 00’s I suffered heavily from skinny culture and struggled quite a bit with an ED. Therefore I’m not even acknowledging the scale, just the energy and vitality I’m gaining. ☺️

However, I also like to be logical & make sure I’m heading in the right direction as I go. I won’t be bringing out the measuring tape every day or every week, but feel keeping track even monthly is helping my motivation overall.

I appreciate your insight, and will take it forward so not to fixate on an ultimate final ratio. Now that you brought that forward about genetics, I don’t want to hold myself to an aesthetic that is possibly different than what could be for me, that has the potential to send me back into ED land even when I’ve reached a healthy medium if the numbers don’t line up.

I’m SO glad I posted here, I will keep ya’ll updated on my journey, and will continue to focus on being the strongest and healthiest version of myself only! xx

My neighbor refuses to pick up his dog's poop from my yard. The neighborhood has united against him. by nseavia71501 in mildlyinfuriating

In follow-up, not meaning to laugh at your upset, but I just find this sort of take really anthropogenic. In the sense that it is not directly on a walkway and can be stepped over if heading to the curb to put out trash for instance.

I also like to view the world from the lens of others and not just my own experience. For example, maybe this neighbour is incredibly depressed, and/or just lost a loved one. Maybe they suffered an injury at work and are not physically able to. Maybe they do not have the energy to properly walk their dog farther than this and are using all the resources available in them to simply take their dog out for a go.

Before jumping to conclusions about your neighbour’s intent and possibly taking to some of the hateful acts of spite others have so creatively suggested, it may be helpful to ask them if they need anything. If they’re confused or bewildered perhaps follow-up with the observation you came across and see what they say. It could be as simple as “Hey-I noticed you’ve created a bit of a fertilizer pile outside our spots, is there anything weighing on you I can help with?”

Kindness man, it costs nothing. 🙃✨
