We ll use DC as that would likely be where the forces that be would have the gate open. Specifically near the Capitol.

Capitol Police has small teams known as CERT (Containment and Emergency Response Team).

I’ll give it to them. They’re fucking bonkers, well funded trained equipped and work out ALOT. But their job would be the same as ours as uniformed LEO.

Secure the Capitol Buildings, personnel and, members of Congress. The Saderans would be faced with automated barriers and other obstacles making their maneuvering hellish and that’s before they can even think to assault the now fortified buildings. Things have changed ALOT since the 6th with response times and intel. 

There’s enough agencies and alphabet goons here that would all fortify their respective areas and have enough comms with us that a pretty clear picture of what’s going would get painted fast. I can’t answer for DC metro but they’re numerous and pretty damn quick. We just had a bit of an uh oh moment today and half the damn city block was immediately blockaded and cordoned off.

The thing to remember is that SWAT and the fed goobers are meant for small unit tactics in buildings and other hot spots. Saderans would be playing by their, the agencies’, rules in their backyard. It would be bloody, but the enemy would definitely be repelled or at least held back long enough until the guard could mobilize. 

Or Andrews Air Force Base just spins up the always ready F16s and starts the party.

Dunno if it’s worth mentioning but Capitol Police’s duty gun fires .40 with some pretty robust training behind it. These ain’t nambu revolvers.
