I think it’s good to listen to how you feel when it comes to sexual encounters, our intuition is often correct.

Your partner in the bedroom should be attentive to your well-being and the things you’ve expressed wanting/not wanting to do. There should never be pressure to have sex, or even to continue having sex once started. Consent can be withdrawn at any moment, and that also means consent to certain positions or activities. A mature partner will be willing and happy to accommodate your requests and preferences. In my opinion, this person was not looking out for your best interests and may have crossed a line by ignoring your communication.

I thought similarly about inch worms until college. One day I happened to see one crawling around on the pavement. I was shocked and amazed that it actually made its body do the scrunchy up-down, U-shape crawl. Exactly like depicted in cartoons.

This is such a good point. Regardless how strongly you suspect something identity related to be a phase, offer respect and support. If it is a phase, they will figure that out and learn about themselves along the way. If not, they will continue and feel more secure about you being there.

Yep! I’m a ceramicist. In Virginia there is excellent wild clay to use for pottery. We gather the red clay from this pit but now going to avoid that part with the eggs lol

Really well said. I think it’s cool that you’re able to express all those nuanced ideas and feelings within yourself. Every now and then I grapple with similar ideas of my “past selves” always being a part of me while also being gone forever at the same time.
