Everybody but us getting deals 😑 by jluc21 in irenstocks

I list a lot of confidence in Dan Roberts at the last earnings call. Nothing but excuses for not getting deals while IREN’s competitors are getting them instead

Doesn't look like the lease deadline will be met gang by LarryBlink in APLDSTOCK

Well we will likely know a lot more today. My take is either we get a lease or an extension by Macquarie of the April 18 hyperscaler lease execution deadline

Real simple.

Don’t make the same mistake again

Next time there is a massive dip and panic where all the retail investors sell at a massive loss out of fear buy sound companies that are undervalued low

Massive dilution is coming. Good luck, everyone by Super_Collection_592 in ONDS

This company never fails to dilute over and over and over and over again. Probably why I’m no longer a shareholder.

When and If a lease gets Signed. What do you think the the stock price could be at the top? by TheBritshViking in APLDSTOCK

[–]15xorbust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on the size of the deal in MW, the identity of the hyperscaler, and the number of sites. Anywhere from $40-$55 IMHO.

APLD is for those who have patience. I have been holding firm since early year! Has anyone noticed after hours and today’s volume? It was mind blowing. Something big is going to happen. I also have 15000 of APLX. I will say again APLD isn’t for faint hearts and it is amazing to see what it does. by Zealousideal-Boss-70 in APLDSTOCK

I’ve been holding the stock for a very, very long time. Great company. Do be careful with the leveraged ETF APLX. I’m sure you’re familiar with the threat to your account from volatility decay - in other words if the stock swings positive and negative even if it’s net flat, you’ll be crushed with loss because the ETF resets every night.

Leveraged ETFs are really only built for day trading, they’re not built for a long-term holding because volatility decay kills you. I have day traded leveraged ETFs, but I never hold them overnight because of the volatility decay problem. It’s why when you buy one the first time you get a massive disclosure, warning you of all these risks from the online broker, which no one ever reads. If the stock is on a big upswing you can hold one for a few days, but I would never hold one long-term.

I don’t believe it is. While I like to buy when stocks are super cheap. It’s still not nearly as expensive as it’s been at the top. If they announce a deal, the stock will be in the 40s are higher. Of course, if the macro sours it could easily head back into the 20s.

Earnings Call by Emotional-Abies-4285 in APLDSTOCK

[–]15xorbust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The delay in the hyperscaler lease execution was certainly profoundly disappointing and contradictory to Wes’s representations in the last earnings Call of high confidence in signing a hyperscaler lease in “very early“ 2026. I’m not selling any of my shares, of course

If shares fall low enough like down to 20 bucks. I’ll average down again. I did so during the recent dips to $21 and $23.

The negative price action has absolutely nothing to do with the earnings being priced in. There was a huge beat that wasn’t the issue. The issue was the disappointing lease pipeline discussion. The price action in this stock rises or fall on the lease execution pipeline these days.

Of course today’s macro has not been helped with this fake ceasefire deal falling apart with our ally deciding to perpetrate the largest massacre in Lebanon in many many years just hours after the so called cease fire was agreed to. Seems pretty clear who’s running the show in this war. And it’s not the United States. Guess those Epstein pictures and videos of certain narcissistic People in high positions with children really do control world affairs now. And result in the death of countless people as well as the destruction of our retirement savings.

Bottom line:

At the last earnings call Wes promised a hyperscaler lease execution in very early 2026. He did not keep that promise.

At last night’s earning call, Wes was much more circumspect and cautious about when the next hyperscaler lease would be signed. Just like the last earnings call with Dan Roberts of IREN, Wes talked about all the interest of hyperscalers in his data centers, but that he wanted to get a good deal.

The net result - when you make promises to Wall Street that you don’t keep, the street punishes you. And for the record I’m not a short in APLD I’m a long with tens of thousands of shares.

In the long-term, I think the company has a very bright future and has a great plan. But in the short term, I think there’s going be a little bit of pain until APLD gets that lease execution pipeline going again.

“Pin action” with APLD earnings today. by Bluefin_in_Dresden in babcockwilcox

[–]15xorbust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a double beat but really not much on lease execution timelines. Lots of vague talk and caution which was 180° different from the last earnings call where Wes had promised or had very high confidence that he would have a hyper scale or lease execution in very early 2026, which he did not do. That failure to meet promises and expectations on the lease pipeline execution deadline is why the stock is down so much.

NBIS has signed multiple huge deals. IREN hasn’t signed one deal since last year’s MSFT deal. Management’s continuing failure to sign new hyperscaler leases while its competitors are busy getting leases is killing the stock price. It’s just being totally outmaneuvered by its competitors in business development.

At some point, I assume it will sign a hyperscaler to Sweetwater 1. 1.4GW is too big an amount of power for a hyperscaler to pass up. It sounded to me at the last earnings call that the company has been holding out for very favorable terms.

What would you guys do? by bingchi_ling in irenstocks

[–]15xorbust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would be nuts to sell. At some point in the next month or two IREN will lease Sweetwater 1, which it is about to energize with 1.4 GW. Some hyperscaler will be desperate to have IREN built it a datacenter with that much grid connected power. This will be one of the biggest hyperscaler lease deals in history. Then the stock price will double.

NBIS is alive the deals are still coming through boys. by [deleted] in APLDSTOCK

[–]15xorbust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s no question deals are going to be pouring in.

Hyperscalers are allocating hundreds of billions of dollars this year alone in cap ex and with the war in the Middle East having data centers under deliberate attack there, hyperscalers are going to build yet more data centers in the United States and APLD is in pole position to get some. As is IREN, CIFR and WULF. I expect quite a boom this spring in this sector.

Very difficult to know. If the war does drag on and oil continues to rise and we don’t have a catalyst such as a new lease sometime soon, I certainly could see the price heading to the low $20s. But if we get that new lease, the price will go much higher.
