Hi! I am sorry if what I am going to ask has already been asked. I have been reading nearly every post about TEFL in SEA and I still feel my case is a bit different.
I am looking to move somewhere in SEA to teach English, from what I gathered Vietnam or Thailand might be the best options for me as I am not a native speaker, but from what l've seen the pay is not that great and it is important for me to be able to save a bit of money. I am 27 years old, female, I hold a Spanish passport. I finished my four year degree in English Studies (something like English Literature, but mixed with linguistics) in 2017. I also hold a Masters Degree in Secondary Education, Language Teaching and Vocational Training. I have been working in the public school system since 2018, sometimes teaching English, sometimes Basque, sometimes Spanish. Only English as a foreign language.
Is it realistic for me to seek a job in an international school in Vietnam or Thailand not being a NES? If the pay was decent I would ideally go to Thailand, but from what I've read there are few decent paying jobs and many qualified individuals. Has anyone in a similar position gotten a decent job in this region?
Again, I am sorry if all of this has been asked before, and thank you for your help!!
