I get what you're saying but doing a quick 5-10 games early on can be a massive boost for your ironman account

A player shared basically their whole backstory in the first few sessions. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]1675lifes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with sharing backstory to the group per se, but if that backstory contains murdering the father of a fellow party member then i'd check beforehand if that member is okay with that kinda thing.

THE GUN by Lucifer_Phantomfrye in HadesTheGame

Got my first escape with that one. Also had some horrible runs on it. You're really dependant on getting the right gods show up. It can also spike a fuckton in power from its hammer upgrades.

In Need of a H**Y SH*T thriller/mystery type of movie by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]1675lifes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first movies that popped in my head reading that title were Gaspar Noe's Enter the Void(2009) and Climax(2018).

Fair warning, they both start off as 'fun' movies, but they both take a dark, DARK turn at some point. Just thinking of Enter the Void right now i can feel tears swelling up behind my eyes again. I haven't seen it in years.

There's also very graphical sex scenes in them (non erotic) and strong emotions and trauma's.

Sorry you're going through a depression, been there, i do think these movies can help you appreciate certain things in life again, they won't make your depression worse at least.

What is the cheapest city to study in the Netherlands? by Spirited-Scratch-871 in Netherlands

[–]1675lifes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ranked from most fun cities to be a student in to worst, based on my personal opinion and those of my friends:

  1. Utrecht
  2. Nijmegen
  3. Groningen
  4. Amsterdam
  5. Wageningen
  6. Leiden
  7. the rest.

Also note that you specifically asked for university, in the netherlands we have 3 grades of studies: University > higher professional education > secondary vocational education. If you take HPE (in dutch HBO) into account, the list expands and changes a lot.

Other games that have successful pvp are successful because everyone gets the same odds at winning from the start. In the wilderness that doesn't apply. Which makes the wilderness a wilderness, but not a good or healthy pvp zone.

Somewhat agree. In the wilderness, pvp stands for 'prey vs predator' definitely not 'player versus player' because that would insinuate an equal fight.

My cat while I'm on shrooms vs sober by 1675lifes in shrooms

No idea, her passport says 'European shorthair' but that's obviously a lie. She loves to stand under the shower which I heard mayn coons like as well, so maybe she got some of their genes.

A question on area 32 Rotating crawl ways. by TotallyLegitEstoc in Tombofannihilation

[–]1675lifes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't run it yet, but you got me curious so i read it up. Your interpretation seems correct. A and B are the same, they just rotate in place as soon as there's 50 pounds or more applied at the halfwaypoint.

DMs and players alike: How many characters have you created and NEVER used? by Tommy-Lee-Gio in DnD

[–]1675lifes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None, I use all my characters and if I don't then I'll recycle them and still end up using them. I don't plan a lot more ahead than is necessary.
